Loss to exchequer caused by scams in last 2 decades

Postby dwarkanath » Sun Jun 05, 2011 5:53 am

The project requires the researcher to understand the details of the various scams and how it affected the public and private interests. What was done to recover the loss and what needs to be done.
The following scams are listed in the project description:
1. Harshad Mehta securities scam
2. Bihar Fodder Scam
3. Telgi Stamp Paper scam
4. The Satyam scam
5. Madhu Coda scam
6. Ketan Parekh Securities scam
7. Commonwealth Games scam
8. Taj Corridor scam
9. C R Bhansali Stock Market scam
10. UTI scam

I'm interested in the Telgi Stamp Paper scam. Any suggestions? Any research already done on the matter which I can use or any other sources of information?

Most of the information i have gleaned on the subject has been from news reports. While you cannot rely on them for authenticity and accuracy, they do give you quite a fair idea. As many of these scams are still sub-justice, any official or definitive account will be hard to come by.

Though you might hit the jackpot with this :
